With experienced safari guides, comfortable 4×4 safari vehicles, and carefully selected accommodations, this safari offers an unforgettable wildlife experience in just four days.

4 Day Serengeti Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Planet Lodge
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a Hike Kilimanjaro Ltd representative will meet you and transfer you to Planet Lodge (or similar) in Arusha about a 1-hour drive. You will then have a full briefing with your guide to prepare for your safari.
Note:
Your pre-safari briefing will be conducted at your hotel. If you arrive before 5:00 PM on the day prior to your safari, the briefing will take place that evening. If you arrive later, your guide will meet you for the briefing on the morning of your safari before departure. This ensures you’re fully prepared and have the opportunity to ask any last-minute questions
Please also note that hotel check-in is from midday (12:00 PM). If your flight arrives early in the morning, kindly let us know in advance. We can arrange a day-use room for you, or, if you prefer, we can organize some short activities to keep you engaged until your check-in time.
Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park – Afternoon Game Drive
Drive time: Approx. 7–8 hours (including game drive)
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views along the way and stop for a picnic lunch. Arrive in Central Serengeti (Seronera) in the afternoon for your first game drive, spotting wildlife such as lions, elephants, and giraffes
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti plains, home to some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife. Depending on the season, you may see the Great Wildebeest Migration or exciting predator activity. Enjoy a packed lunch in the bushand continue your game drives until late afternoon.

Drive time: About 3–4 hours to Ngorongoro Crater and 4–5 hours to Kilimanjaro Airport (including game viewing).
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before driving to Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is famous for its high concentration of wildlife, including rhinos, lions, and large elephant herds.
In the afternoon, drive back toward Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure. We recommend booking a night flight or an extra night in Arusha before flying the next day.
The best airport to fly into is Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), about 45 km from Moshi and 50 km from Arusha. This is the most convenient airport for Kilimanjaro climbers.
Hike Kilimanjaro Ltd can arrange airport transfers between JRO and your hotel. Transfers are available at an additional cost just send us your flight details in advance and we’ll handle the rest.
If you cannot find a direct flight to Kilimanjaro, you can also fly to Nairobi (NBO) in Kenya or Dar es Salaam (DAR) in Tanzania. From there, you can take a short connecting flight to JRO or travel by shuttle bus or private transfer to Moshi or Arusha, where most climbs begin. Nairobi is closer and often has more international flight options.
Several airlines fly to Kilimanjaro, including KLM, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Condor, Precision Air, and RwandAir. Domestic flights within Tanzania are available with Air Tanzania, Precision Air, Coastal Aviation, Regional Air, Fly540, ZanAir, and Air Excel.
